Where others see risk, we see clarity.
AvenirInsurance combines classic specialty underwriting with deep technical review of wallets, protocols and operations.

Our mission
Make insurance for digital assets easy to understand, compare and access.
Our story
Underwriting that reads the code.
We started Avenir because crypto founders kept hearing the same answer from insurers: "we don't cover that." The risks were real, but nobody had the technical depth to price them.
Today every submission is reviewed by an underwriter and a security engineer together. We look at key management, governance and incident response — then price accordingly, so well-run teams pay less.
2019
Founded by specialty underwriters and blockchain security researchers.
2021
Launched our first digital asset custody programme.
2023
Added smart contract cover with forensic claims support.
2026
Expanded into six specialist coverage lines.
